According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Paris Saint-Germain are willing to offer alleged Tottenham target Franck Kessie triple what he currently earns at AC Milan, with talks of a new contract at a standstill.
Kessie, 24, sees his current deal with I Rossoneri expire at the end of the season and, although reports claim the midfielder wants to stay at the San Siro, but his wage demands are said to be a stumbling block.
Milan have reportedly offered the Ivory Coast international an annual wage of €6.5 million (£5.5m), but aren’t willing to budge any more to meet his desires of a €9 million (£7.6m) wage packet.
TuttoMercatoWeb have reinforced those claims and suggest negotiations are now at a standstill between the club and Kessie’s representatives.
However, the report states French giants PSG are ready to swoop in by offering the midfielder triple his current salary – a move fellow suitors Tottenham would struggle to match.
Spurs boss Antonio Conte is said to be a ‘long-time admirer’ of Kessie and has allegedly shortlisted him as a transfer target for January as he continues to strengthen his squad of players.
Spurs Web Opinion
If PSG are ready to offer Kessie that much money then there really isn’t much Spurs can do, unless they match that valuation. If Conte really wants him at Spurs, though, then Daniel Levy may have to intensify interest further to meet his demands.
