Report: RB Leipzig may travel to London for Spurs game without three key defenders

Tottenham Hotspur face RB Leipzig at home in the Champions League this week, just three days before they play Chelsea away in the Premier League.

Spurs play at home first, just as they did last season at this stage, with the Lilywhites finishing second in their group and Leipzig finishing top.

However, Tottenham have at least welcomed Ben Davies, Tanguy Ndombele, and Giovani Lo Celso back from injuries in recent weeks, bolstering their squad. Unfortunately, they remain without Harry Kane and Moussa Sissoko.

Despite this, it seems as if RB Leipzig have some team selection problems of their own, as three of their key defenders look to be unavailable for the clash.

UEFA report that Dayot Upamecano is suspended, while Ibrahima Konate and Willi Orban are out injured.

Upamecano played five of Leipzig’s six Champions League group stage games, while Orban played three, and Konate two (UEFA).

The two sides go head to head at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday, with kick-off at 20:00.
