Tottenham Hotspur will be downbeat after losing their first ever Champions League final on Saturday, however, they must now focus on coming back even stronger.

Spurs have not bought a single new player in 16 months, with Lucas Moura being the last senior signing back in January 2018.

Tottenham and Daniel Levy simply must invest money into the squad if they have any hope of reaching such a prestigious final again.

However, reports now suggest that Christian Eriksen could be staying at Tottenham past the summer, despite strong links to Real Madrid (AS).

DM report that Madrid have cooled their interest in Eriksen, not being impressed with his performance in the Champions League final against Liverpool.

With just one year remaining on his current Spurs contract, Tottenham must either sell him now, sign him up to a new deal, or lose him on a free next summer.

Spurs Web Opinion:

If Spurs can’t agree on a new deal with the Great Dane, then they simply must sell him now, or risk losing out on over £60m worth of transfer fees. If Poch wants to strengthen his squad this summer, he cannot afford to lose his best players for nothing.

  1. HAHAHAH Juve in for Trippier. I would love to be wrong.. Please enjoy Italy.

No club has ever made a firm offer for Eriksen, for the same reason that Spurs were able to sign him for 12 million. They knew then what we all know now, that despite a gifted football mind, unless the opposition is poor, or teams allow him time and space Christian is average at best. His lack of courage is shocking and the idea that he is working hard defensively shuffling around with no intention of winning the ball is shocking. If Spurs want to win anything than they must say goodbye to Christian . Even the mythical dead ball specialist title wore out. The stats the pundits chose to ignore ,and instead carry on with the complete lie that he was a master on free kicks. This kept the over hype alive despite the fact he had gone over three full seasons in the prem without a free kick goal. He finally scored against Everton I think he would suit Serie A, and could be effective there.

I will agree that Eriksen will attract some interest from some clubs but his valuation is a joke.

Lets also take our hats off to Trippier’s agent . These stories of Italian clubs paying 40 million for Kieren are hilarious. I truly hope he is right thoug. Starting games with 9 men when Eriksen and Trippier are out there is tough on the rest of the team.

Please lets get a few upgrades in.

    Andrew
