Report: Real Madrid enter race for striker wanted by Spurs and Arsenal

According to the latest reports from Spain, Real Madrid have set their sights on Wolves striker Raul Jimenez, who Tottenham are also said to be interested in ahead of the summer.

Jimenez has been one of the most consistent strikers in the Premier League since arriving at the Molineux Stadium.

The Wolves man has scored 22 goals this campaign in all competitions (transfermarkt), while also proving to be a constant menace for the opposition backline with his hold-up play and creativity.

ESPN reported earlier this month that Jimenez is on the radars of both Tottenham and Arsenal this summer.

However, it looks as if the North Londoners may have some serious competition to contend with for the Mexican international’s signature after AS reported that Los Blancos have entered the race for him.

The report asserts that Zinedine Zidane has identified the 28-year-old as the perfect strike partner for Karim Benzema and has requested for Madrid to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer.

Spurs Web Opinion

Jimenez is arguably one of the most complete strikers in the Premier League, along with the likes of Kane, Abuameyang, and Aguero. While I would be over the moon if we managed to sign the Mexican, there is no way he will come to us just to play as Kane’s back-up.
