Report: Real Madrid eye up Christian Eriksen’s Tottenham team-mate

According to a report by Spanish publication El Desmarque, Real Madrid have identified Tottenham striker Harry Kane as the man to replace Karim Benzema.

It is claimed that Benzema is currently into his last season as a Madrid player and if Los Blancos cannot land PSG star Kylian Mbappe, Kane is Florentino Perez’s preferred choice to replace the long-serving Frenchman

The Spanish giants have reportedly been tracking the Spurs striker for more than two years and it is suggested that club’s coaching staff believe the 26-year-old will be a huge success at Madrid since they are one of the highest crossers of the ball in Europe.

The report claims that Real Madrid believe Harry Kane can be lured away from Spurs if the Lilywhites fail to qualify for the Champions League next season following their poor start to the season.

It is suggested that the England captain will cost around €200 million.

Even if Spurs fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League, €200 million isn’t likely to be anywhere enough to price Kane from the club. The 26-year-old also doesn’t seem like the type of player to force a move through and considering he has a lengthy contract, Madrid can expect Levy to demand well beyond 200 million
