Report: Real Madrid hold advantage in race for Spurs-linked starlet

Marca have revealed that Real Madrid hold an advantage over other clubs in the pursuit of Palmeiras wonderkid Endrick, who is rumoured to also be on Tottenham’s radar.

Endrick is yet to break into Palmerias’ senior side but the 16-year-old’s displays for the Brazilian club’s youth sides are thought to have attracted the interest of several big hitters around Europe.

Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola revealed on his YouTube channel Canal do Nicola (23/09/22 as relayed by Sport Witness) last week that the striker is on the radars of three Premier League sides in Tottenham, Manchester United and Newcastle United.

However, he added that it was Paris Saint-Germain who are leading the race for the 16-year-old, who is alleged to have a €40m (£35.7m) release clause in his contract.

Marca have now reported that Real Madrid are also ‘studying’ Endrick and are contemplating a move for the forward.

The report adds that Los Blancos have an advantage over other suitors as the teenager is represented by the same agency as Vinicius.

It is explained that the Palmeras youngster is continuing to ‘receive calls’ from several clubs in Europe but he is in no rush to make a decision as he wants to take the ‘best option’.

Brazilian wonderkids rarely chose to make a move straight to the Premier League, given the culture shock such a move would entail, both on and off the pitch. So, I would not be surprised if Endrick opts for a move to Spain, France or Italy.
