Report: Real Madrid make decision on Gareth Bale’s future

Sky Sports have claimed that Real Madrid will listen to offers for Gareth Bale this summer.

Bale ended his season-long loan spell at Tottenham in style as he came off the bench to net a brace in the Lilywhites’ 4-2 win over Leicester on Sunday.

The Welshman admitted after the game that he has made a decision on his future but insisted that it would create chaos if he revealed what it was.

The 31-year-old has certainly kept the media guessing, with several contradictory reports continuing to emerge about his future.

Some sources have suggested that Tottenham have the option of extending Bale’s loan deal by another year on the same terms.

Others have claimed that the North London club would have to hammer out a new agreement with Real Madrid if they want to re-sign the forward.

If Sky Sports are to be believed, Madrid are hoping that someone will take Bale off their hands permanently this summer.

The report claims that the Los Blancos are ready to sell the Wales international at the right price as they look to free up funds for their potential pursuits of Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.

Spurs Web Opinion

Real Madrid will struggle to find any club willing to match Bale’s salary. Given that the Welshman is not likely to accept a salary cut, a permanent move seems out of the question this summer. The best Madrid can hope for is to loan him out again to a club that are willing to pay a part of his salary.
