RMC Sport journalist, Mohamed Bouhafsi has revealed that Real Madrid have opened talks with Antonio Conte over becoming the club’s next manager.
Conte parted ways with Inter Milan this week on the back of an outstanding season where he led the club to their first Scudetto in over a decade.
However, the former Chelsea boss’ departure did not exactly come as a surprise, with previous reports indicating that he might be forced to resign as the club’s owners insisted that both the players and the coaching staff take substantial salary cuts.
Some reports from Italy initially installed Tottenham as the favourites for the 51-year-old’s signature, revealing that Spurs had made a lucrative contract offer to the Italian.
However, other sources since then have indicated that Real Madrid would have the first pick on Conte.
Bouhafsi has now revealed that Los Blancos do want Conte to replace Zinedine Zidane and have already begun talks with the entourage of the recently departed Inter Milan boss.
Real Madrid have started the big maneuvers for Zinedine Zidane's succession. Several coaches are on the list. Discussions have started between Real Madrid management and Antonio Conte's entourage.

Spurs Web Opinion
Spurs fans can hardly complain if we get one of either Pochettino or Conte (whoever does not go to Real Madrid). However, what would be disappointing is if Conte ends up at Madrid and Pochettino decides to stick around at PSG.
The other names being linked with the Spurs job like Potter and Ten Hag would represent a significant drop in standard compared to the aforementioned pair.
