Report: Real Madrid place player linked with Spurs up for sale

Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz, who has reportedly been a long-term target for Tottenham will be made available this summer, according to reports from Spain.

Diaz was linked with a move to Tottenham last summer (Daily Star) while El Desmarque revealed that he was one of the Lilywhites targets in the January transfer window with the North Londoners looking to include the striker in a swap deal for Christian Eriksen.

It could be third time lucky for Tottenham this summer with AS reporting that the striker has been put up for sale by Los Blancos.

Diaz is said to be one of six players who the Spanish giants are looking to offload during the summer in order to free up over £100 million on the wage bill.

The report claims that the 26-year-old is hesitant to leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, despite making just two appearances for Zinedine Zidane’s side this season (transfermarkt).
