Report: Real Madrid plan last-minute bid for Tottenham star

The Sun have reported that Real Madrid are planning a late move for Tottenham star, Christian Eriksen, after the Dane impressed in the opening two Premier League matches this season.

The report suggests that Madrid will bid £60m for the playmaker right at the end of the window in order to pressure Daniel Levy into taking the money.

They are said to be confident that Levy will be open to an offer for Eriksen due to his history of selling players rather than letting them leave on frees.

While the Premier League window for incoming transfers has already shut, clubs in France, Spain, Germany, Italy, and more can still buy players until September 2.

Spurs did bring in a new playmaker in the form of Giovani Lo Celso this summer, but Eriksen would certainly fall into the irreplaceable category of players.

Real Madrid apparently see the Danish midfielder as their successor to Luka Modric, a star they also acquired from Spurs.
