Report: Real Madrid ready to make bumper move for player Spurs missed out on

Sports Mediaset claim that Real Madrid are ready to make a sizeable offer to sign Paulo Dybala who Tottenham Hotspur are reported to have missed out on narrowly last summer.

It has been reported that it was only due to Spurs’ failure to sort out complications with Dybala’s image rights before the transfer deadline that the Lilywhites missed out on signing the Argentine (Independent).

Since the collapsed move to North London, Dybala has established himself as an important part of the Juve side and has gone on to have another impressive campaign.

In fact, the 26-year-old was voted the Serie A Player of the Season after his eleven goals and eleven assists helped Juve to their ninth successive title (Goal.com).

Sports Mediaset claim that Madrid chairman Florentino Perez wants to strengthen Los Blancos attack after their elimination from the Champions League last week and is ready to focus his attention on securing Dybala.

The report claims that Real Madrid are willing to offer Isco or Toni Kroos in a swap deal to sign Dybala.

Madrid reportedly value the Isco at around €60million, while World Cup winner Kroos would cost €50million where the overall price of the potential transfer could be as high as €160million.

Spurs Web Opinion

Given how well Dybala has done since the failed move to Spurs, it is certainly not wishful thinking to imagine that last season would have turned out completely differently had we manage to get the deal over the line last summer. Pochettino might well have ended up keeping his job. The failed Dybala move is one that I suspect Spurs back are going to look back on with regret for a long time to come.
