Report: Real Madrid set asking price for midfield star – Spurs are interested

Real Madrid have reportedly set a price tag for their attacking midfield star Dani Ceballos, with the 22-year-old already scoring two goals and setting two more up for Spain at this summer’s U21 European Championships.

The Metro claim that Ceballos will cost Tottenham around €50 this summer, as Real Madrid look to balance their books after a spending spree.

It appears that current manager, Zinedine Zidane, is also not too keen on the young Spaniard, as Ceballos started just two of the 11 fixtures since the gaffer took charge again last season.

AS claim that Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs closely monitoring the situation regarding the attacker this transfer window. Arsenal and AC Milan are also said to be very interested.

Only last week, The Sun reported that Real Madrid were willing to offer £45m plus Dani Ceballos in exchange for Christian Eriksen.

Spurs Web Opinion:

While I am not sure that Ceballos has the talent to replace Eriksen at this moment, I feel as if £45m plus a highly-rated youngster is a very good deal for a player in the final year of his contract. If this were true, and I were Daniel Levy, I would take it.
