Report: Real Madrid will not make approach for Spurs star this summer

Real Madrid are reported to have cooled their interest in Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.

The Mail claim that the Spanish giants have no plans to make a move for the 26-year-old this summer due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the club’s finances.

Kane admitted in an Instagram live interview with Jamie Redknapp late last month that he would consider leaving Spurs in the future if the club fails to match his ambitions (Sky Sports).

Last week, The Mail reported that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy was prepared to sell his prized asset if a world record £200million bid was received with Manchester United said to be keen to bring him to Old Trafford.

Madrid have continued to keep tabs on Kane’s progress at Tottenham but are said to be more focused on a move for PSG forward Kylian Mbappe, who will be out of contract in the French capital in 2022.
