Report: Real Sociedad make contact with Tottenham player about loan move

Real Sociedad have made contact with Tottenham winger Bryan Gil about a potential loan move ahead of next season, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Gil has struggled to make an impact at Spurs since joining the club from Sevilla last summer, having been limited to appearances off the bench.

The 21-year-old was sent out on loan to Valencia for the rest of the campaign in January, where he has impressed with Los Che to the point where they are reportedly keen on signing him permanently (Fichajes).

With Gil currently set to return to his parent club, Tottenham are thought to be in no rush to make a decision regarding his future, but ideally want him playing at a side with top European football next term (Marca).

Mundo Deportivo report that Real Sociedad have entered the picture for Gil and are interested in taking him on board this summer.

The LaLiga side, who finished sixth in the table this season, are said to have initiated contact with the wide man about a loan move for the new campaign.

However, the report adds that Valencia also remain possible suitors with the Spanish clubs representing just two of four proposals on the table for Gil, who is waiting to see what moves Tottenham make before deciding his future.

Gil didn’t have the easiest of times in his six months at Tottenham as he didn’t look fully up to the physical demands of English football.

It is difficult to see where he fits into the team with Conte in charge despite the obvious talent he has, so a loan over a permanent transfer would be a good move for him again next season.
