Report reveals amount Manchester United are willing to spend on Kane and Sancho

Manchester United may be set to turn their attentions towards signing Odion Ighalo permanently as they are said to be unwilling to meet Tottenham’s Harry Kane asking price.

While Kane was linked with a move to Old Trafford earlier in the year, several reports over the past few weeks have asserted that the deal is unlikely to happen.

talkSPORT revealed that Spurs had no intention of selling Kane this summer while Sky Sports suggested that United aren’t willing to test the waters for the England captain as they have other priorities this summer.

Manchester Evening News declared earlier this week that the Red Devils have ‘no chance’ of signing the Spurs star this summer given that he has four years to run on his contract with the North Londoners.

All Nigeria Soccer now report that, although Harry Kane and Jadon Sancho are United’s top targets this summer, the club are unwilling to pay more than £200 million to get the pair signed.

That would seemingly rule out the possibility of singing Kane with Spurs said to be demanding £200 million for the England captain alone (Daily Mail).

It is thus suggested that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are ready to turn their attentions from Kane to Ighalo.

Spurs Web Opinion

The rumours linking Kane with a move to United had no merit whatsoever. They were only drummed up by the media. No club will be in a position to afford the 26-year-old this summer. If and when Kane leaves, it will be to a club where he has an actual chance of winning league titles and Champions Leagues, which United are well short of.
