Report reveals brand values of Premier League big six – Spurs overtake Arsenal

According to a report from The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur are now the fifth most valuable brand in the Premier League after leapfrogging North London rivals Arsenal.

Spurs have finished above the Gunners for the past four seasons and will be looking to make it five on the bounce this year.

While the Lilywhites came one step short of winning the Champions League in 2019, Arsenal have not been involved in Europe’s top competition since 2016.

However, it turns out that the Gunners are not just struggling to compete with Tottenham on the pitch but away from it too.

The Sun report that the Lilywhites are now a bigger commercial entity than their North London rivals, with Tottenham’s brand now valued at £635 million and Arsenal at £583 million.

The report reveals that Tottenham’s brand has jumped an astonishing £264m in the last five years.

Manchester United are still the most valuable brand in the Premier League, estimated to be worth a whopping £1.07 billion.

United are followed by Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea who are said to be worth £1.02 billion, £912 million and £769 million respectively.

These figures just show the brand values of the clubs in question. Our assets (stadium, training ground and squad value) are already worth more than most of the other clubs in the Premier League while our revenue (matchday, broadcast and commercial) has also overtaken Arsenal’s already. This shows the increasing chasm between the two clubs off the pitch.
