Report reveals Chelsea’s asking price for Kurt Zouma amidst Tottenham interest

According to a report in The Mirror, Chelsea could be ready to sell rumoured Spurs target Kurt Zouma for just £25million when the transfer window opens this summer.

RMC Sport reported this week that Jose Mourinho had asked the Spurs hierarchy to move for Zouma this summer, with the Spurs boss reportedly seeing the defender as the man to replace Jan Vertonghen.

However, the report suggested that the Blues might demand a substantial transfer fee for the 25-year-old.

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold even claimed that the central defender could cost a whopping £60 million, thus potentially putting Spurs out of the running.

However, The Mirror now reveals that the Blues are desperate to sell players to balance the books as they look to land Timo Werner and Ben Chilwell this summer.

Frank Lampard’s side are thus said to be ready to allow Zouma to leave Stamford Bridge for a cut-price £25million this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion

Given that Zouma got a considerable amount of game time this season, I would be surprised if Chelsea were ready to let him leave for just £25million. At that price, there is no doubt that the Frenchman would be a solid addition for us but the question remains as to whether Chelsea would sell to us.
