Tottenham could sign two new defenders this summer depending if they receive tempting offers for Davinson Sanchez or Japhet Tanganga, according to the Evening Standard.
Antonio Conte is looking to revamp his playing squad this summer after having a successful end to the campaign which saw Spurs qualify for the Champions League.
The Telegraph recently reported the Italian coach has placed a key focus on his defensive options, with a left-sided centre-back and two new wing-backs thought to be on the agenda.
But the North London club could add more to that list if they are able to offload fringe players Sanchez and Tanganga.
The Evening Standard has claimed Tottenham could take to the market to sign two centre-backs if they are able to receive ‘attractive’ enough offers for the aforementioned pair.
England youth international Tanganga endured a difficult season playing just 11 games in the Premier League after suffering a knee injury in February (Transfermarkt).
The 23-year-old’s campaign was then curtailed after it was confirmed he underwent surgery to repair the problem, with his return pencilled in for pre-season.
Meanwhile, Sanchez went through a mixed spell, bouncing in and out of the Tottenham starting line-up under Conte.
The Colombian managed to regain his place in the side towards the back end of term in place of the injured Cristian Romero and became vital to the club’s run into the Premier League top four.

Both players are currently on the fringes of the starting line-up so they are not necessarily some of the key names in the team.
Sanchez has not lived up to his price tag, but he is still a good option to have in the squad as depth as he demonstrated towards the end of the season.
Tanganga still has not nailed down a spot at either right-back or centre-back so it is tough to see where he fits in, especially with his now patchy injury record.
