Report reveals Conte’s plans for remaining Spurs players during international break

Football.London have revealed that Antonio Conte and his coaching staff have prioritised fitness work with the players who have remained at Hotspur Way through the international break.

The timing of the international break was not ideal for Spurs, who had built up momentum after their recent wins over Everton and West Ham United.

Football.London reveal that while Conte did not want a break to come now, it has given the Spurs boss a chance to head off to Italy to spend time with his family.

It is revealed that Conte’s wife Elisabetta and daughter Vittoria still live in Italy as Vittoria is still in the final years of secondary school.

Given the number of Spurs stars called up for international duty and injuries to the likes of Oliver Skipp, Ryan Sessegnon and Japhet Tanganga, only five first-team players in Sergio Reguilon, Harry Winks, Emerson Royal, Eric Dier and Lucas Moura are available to work with at Hotspur Way.

The report explains that Conte and his coaching staff are prioritising tactical and fitness work with the aforementioned players before giving them a couple of days off midway through the break.

Spurs Web Opinion

Hopefully, all of our players come back from the international break unscathed. Given the run-in we now have until the end of the season, we have a great opportunity to finish in the top four. However, we need all our key players fit for the final nine matches of the campaign.
