Report reveals cut-price fee Fiorentina could sell Spurs target Milenkovic for

The print edition of Corriere Fiorentino (02/08/22 – as relayed by Sport Witness) has claimed that Fiorentina would be willing to sell Nikola Milenkovic for a cut-price fee amidst interest from Tottenham.

La Nazione reported earlier this week that Tottenham were one of the contenders to sign Milenkovic, who has just 12 months left on his contract with Fiorentina.

The report stated that the Serie A club could potentially explore a swap deal for Giovani Lo Celso if Spurs make advances towards the Serbian.

Corriere Fiorentino have now revealed that Tottenham, Inter Milan, Juventus and Atletico Madrid are all on Milenkovic’s trail.

The report claims that Antonio Conte is a fan of the 24-year-old and wants to bring him in as a replacement for Japhet Tanganga, who is expected to leave Spurs.

It is suggested that the Lilywhites will carry out ‘in-depth studies’ over the next few days to find out how much Milkenkovic will cost.

Corriere Fiorentino add that Fiorentina’s asking price for the centre-back is expected to be around €15m (£12.5m).

Milenkovic will be a perfect fit for Conte’s system and would be an upgrade on both Tanganga and Rodon. Signing the Serbian for a cut-price fee would also allow Spurs to spend big on another luxury attacker like Nicolo Zaniolo.
