Report reveals Daniel Levy’s stance on Kane as Man City prepare final assault

The Telegraph have revealed that Daniel Levy is determined not to be forced into selling Harry Kane in the final week of the transfer window as Manchester City prepare one final offer for the striker.

The speculation over Kane’s future dominated the headlines heading into Tottenham’s first two Premier League games of the season.

However, the rumours certainly did not seem to affect Nuno Espirito Santo’s men, who have picked up 6 points from two tough clashes against City and Wolves.

It was reported last week that the Premier League champions were still £50million short of meeting Tottenham’s £150million valuation of the England captain.

Time is certainly running out for City to snap up Kane but The Telegraph now suggest that Pep Guardiola’s men will test Spurs’ resolve with one final offer.

However, it is asserted that Levy’s is not prepared to drop his valuation and the Spurs chairman might even reject an offer of around £150m for the 28-year-old at this stage of the window.

Spurs Web Opinion

Unlike most Spurs fans, I still think there is a good chance of this deal happening as I see City making an offer that is too good to turn down in the coming days.

However, if the deal is to happen, one would imagine that it will have to happen quickly so that Tottenham to have time to secure replacements.

The speculation does seem to have gone strangely quiet over the last couple of days. Either way, we will likely have a much better idea over the next two days.
