The reports linking Dele Alli with a move to Paris Saint-Germain show no signs of dissipating, with Foot Mercato now reporting that the Ligue 1 giants have held positive exchanges with the midfielder’s entourage.

Dele Alli missed out on the matchday squad yet again for Tottenham’s Carabao Cup clash over Chelsea on Tuesday.

Jose Mourinho, however, admitted in his press conference on Wednesday that he has been happy with the midfielder’s attitude in training and that he could be handed an appearance against Maccabi Haifa this evening.

RMC Sport previously revealed that discussions were still ongoing between Spurs and PSG but that any deal for Alli would be complicated.

However, Foot Mercato paint a much different picture as they claim that the England international is seduced by the prospect of playing for the French giants.

They claim that Alli has had conversations about life at PSG with his Spurs teammate, Serge Aurier, and he wants to join the club before the transfer window closes on Monday.

If Alli does not play again this evening, then I believe he is likely to leave before the deadline. The only obvious reason for him not to make the matchday squad is if the club is considering offers for him. I am slowly starting to accept that perhaps a loan move away from Spurs for Alli would suit all parties.

  1. Sometimes it’s so embarrassing to be a Spurs fan. Only weeks ago Ndombele wasn’t getting a look in and the media was telling all who’d care to listen that he was off to a host of clubs across Europe, chief among them was Inter Milan and PSG to name but two. The pussies among us were out in force with their pleading and opinions. I note that Ndombele is still at Spurs and by all accounts flourishing. He’s now best friends with Mourino who was reported to want him out the door ASAP because he was supposedly lazy, unfit and a poor trainer. It cannot be denied that Alli has been living on his laurels for the past two seasons and hasn’t pushed on, he’s far too busy posing. If he is to be shown the door so be it, it’s a shame but the best teams don’t carry passengers, something Spurs are very good at doing and have been for years. If he stays, he’d better shape up or he’ll be training with the youth team until the next transfer window when the door will be flung open. Even Gareth Southgate is weary of him now.
