Report reveals discussions are still ongoing over deal for Dele to leave

RMC Sport are reporting that talks are still ongoing between Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain over Dele Alli, with the French giants still hoping to sign the midfielder before the transfer window shuts on Monday.

Dele was once again left out of Tottenham’s matchday squad for their Carabao Cup tie against Chelsea on Tuesday, which was the fourth occasion in six matches he has failed to make the eighteen.

Jose Mourinho has admitted that he is happy with the way the midfielder has responded his training and revealed that he could be involved against Maccabi Haifa this evening.

The England international was previously linked with a loan move to Paris Saint-Germain, with The Telegraph reporting that Spurs were open to allowing him to leave on loan.

RMC Sport have now revealed that discussions are continuing to be held between the two clubs but that a deal is “very complicated”.

They state that the deal will only go through if Daniel Levy agrees to loan him out.

While I can understand Jose’s decision to drop Dele if he felt his form is not good enough, that still does not explain why he has repeatedly failed to make the bench. I believe the only obvious explanation is that the club are exploring the possibility of moving him on. I will not be surprised if he does join PSG before Monday.
