Report reveals Fabio Paratici’s thoughts on his Spurs future amid PSG interest

The Athletic have revealed that Fabio Paratici is keen to continue his project at Tottenham Hotspur despite interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

Paratici left Juventus to join Tottenham as their managing director of football last summer, with the Italian having since been reunited with Antonio Conte, who he previously worked with at the Serie A giants.

TuttoMercatoWeb reported last week that the PSG were set to replace their sporting director Leonardo, with Paratici as one of their main targets.

The report suggested that the Ligue 1 club’s top brass had already contacted the Spurs man over the potential vacancy in Paris.

The Athletic have now confirmed that Paratici is on PSG’s radar, with the club holding talks with the 49-year-old on multiple occasions, including last summer before he joined Tottenham.

However, the report adds that Paratici is ‘fully committed’ to his project at Spurs and has no plans on walking away anytime soon.

It is said that the former Juve man is ‘enthusiastic’ about the project in North London and has a close relationship with Conte and Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.

PSG fans voiced their displeasure over their Champions League elimination ahead of yesterday’s match against Bordeaux when they chanted for the leaders of the club to resign.

Spurs Web Opinion

If Paratici departs, that could set our rebuild back considerably and could also cast doubt over the future of Conte, since the 49-year-old was the one who reportedly (Fabrizio Romano) persuaded the former Inter boss to take over at Spurs. However, it does not appear as if there is any risk of Paratici walking away anytime soon.
