Report reveals fee Wolves want from Spurs for Traore – More than £20m

90 min have claimed that Wolves are holding out for a fee of £22m from Tottenham Hotspur for Adama Traore.

Multiple sources over the last week have backed Tottenham to snap up Traore from Wolves this week after Bruno Lage’s side secured the signing of Portuguese winger Chiquinho (The Daily Star and Jack Pitt-Brooke on The View from The Lane Podcast).

However, The Telegraph reported on Thursday Spurs’ £15m offer for the Spaniard had been turned down by Wolves, who are demanding £20m for the winger.

90 min have also backed up the information regarding Tottenham’s offer for Traore being rejected by Wolves, stating that the proposal has not met the West Midlands club’s valuation.

However, the publication suggests that Bruno Lage’s side are demanding £22m, including add-ons, from Spurs for the 25-year-old.

The report adds that Traore has made it clear to Bruno Lage as well the Wolves hierarchy that he wishes to join Tottenham this month.

The negotiations for Traore could drag on until the final few days of the transfer window as both Wolves and Spurs look to get the best deal they can. Tottenham certainly seem to be in a stronger negotiating position, given Traore’s keenness to join and the winger’s contract situation.
