Report reveals final detail Spurs are negotiating over new summer signing

Mundo Deportivo have revealed that Tottenham and Barcelona are currently negotiating what percentage of Clement Lenglet’s salary the North London club would cover.

Lenglet looks set to be the fifth player to arrive through the door at Hotspur Way this summer according to reports over recent days.

Sport reported on Monday that the Frenchman’s season-long loan move to Spurs is expected to be made official soon, with Antonio Conte’s men having the option to make the deal permanent for over €10m (£8.6m).

Fabrizio Romano subsequently revealed that the 27-year-old has agreed on personal terms with Tottenham and that the Lilywhites are working on the ‘final details’ of the loan deal with Barcelona.

Mundo Deportivo have now explained that the only detail to be worked out between the two clubs is whether Spurs would cover Lenglet’s entire salary during his loan spell.

The report added that the centre-back has ‘everything ready’ to fly to London to complete his move once he gets the green light from Barca.

It sounds like Lenglet would be able to join the Tottenham squad for the club’s pre-season trip to South Korea. Conte will also want the Djed Spence deal to also be sorted within the next few days so that the 21-year-old can fly out to Asia with the rest of the squad.
