In what comes as a potential boost to Tottenham in their rumoured pursuit of Dusan Vlahovic, Fantacalcio have claimed that Fiorentina are working on a deal to sign Krzysztof Piatek as his replacement.
Vlahovic’s current deal with Fiorentina runs out in the summer of 2023 and talks between the striker and Fiorentina have allegedly broken down.
Reports over recent weeks have claimed that Tottenham are ‘crazy’ for the centre-forward and are currently leading the race for his signature.
Calciomercato.it even asserted earlier this week that the North London club are in talks with the striker’s entourage over personal terms ahead of a move in the January transfer window.
The Lilywhites are thought to be facing competition from the likes of Atletico Madrid (Sky Sports) and Juventus (Calciomercato) for the 21-year-old.
If Fantacalcio’s latest update is to be believed, Fiorentina are already making plans for life without Vlahovic. It is explained that the club are expecting the centre-forward to leave either during January or next summer and are thus working on potential replacements.
Apart from Piatek, the Viola are also reported to be looking at Andrea Belotti and Arkadiusz Milik to fill Vlahovic’s role if he leaves.

I expect Fiorentina to sell Vlahovic in January as the club would want to make as much money out of his sale as possible, now that it looks like he will not be signing a new deal.
However, it is difficult to imagine Tottenham snapping up the Serbian since Kane now looks set to stay.
