The Sun have revealed Harry Kane’s individual stats (via Opta) from Tottenham’s 3-1 loss in the North London derby and it makes for grim reading.

Tottenham fans would have been hoping that Kane had turned a corner after breaking his drought with a goal against Wolves in the Carabao Cup during midweek.

However, the striker once again fell short at the Emirates on Sunday as his struggles in front of goal continued.

Some pundits have suggested on the back of the performance on Sunday that the England captain has lost his enthusiasm after a transfer to Manchester City fell through during the summer.

Kane’s numbers certainly suggest that all is not well with the 28-year-old.

The Sun have revealed that the striker mustered five shots against Arsenal, only one of which hit the target.

He also missed one ‘big chance’ and failed to create a single chance for his side or register any dribbles.

Kane managed just 25 touches across the 90 minutes, completed five of his 11 passes with a woeful pass completion rate of 46 per cent. He even gave the ball away 11 times, which becomes even worse when you see he only had 25 touches.

In the air, he won just 33% of his duels and on the ground, that number fell to 20%.

These numbers certainly should be a matter of concern for Tottenham. In many ways, the North London derby was the best opportunity for Kane to shut his critics up and show that he is still fully committed to helping Tottenham to achieve success. However, the 28-year-old once again looked a shadow of his former self.

  1. Help spurs achieve success just what success are you talking about. To me success is winning trophies however to those in charge of spurs and perhaps yourselves that sounds like something else. I say again this is not Harry kanes fault spurs are rubbish. When you post a midfield of winks, hojbjerg and skipp what do you expect Harry to do. Yet again those without a brain are the ones shouting the loudest. Try looking at other players or try looking at your sacred cow owners for the blame who sit on a very tidy investment, screw over the fans every year on ticket prices, no world class players brought in to upgrade the squad or spend two months searching for a manager then appoint one who was jobless for two months and spend the rest of the transfer window trying to keep a player who does not want to stay but don’t bring in any cover for him then slate him for not being committed to the club. What a load of utterly utterly bag of you know what. I hope spurs get relegated this year and that’s from a fan of over forty years because this is the worst owners and board I have ever known. Stop writing dribble until you are prepared to admit where the real problems at the club lie and address them first and formost and it does not lie with the players this time.
