Report reveals how close Spurs and Milan are to agreeing Serge Aurier deal

According to the latest reports from Italy, Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan are still some way off over their respective valuations of Serge Aurier with negotiations between the two clubs for continuing.

It was reported last week that Spurs were willing to cash in on the Ivorian this summer and that Milan were interested in offering him an exit route from North London (Gazzetta dello Sport via Sport Witness).

TuttoMercatoWeb now claim that the Serie A giants are still keen on bringing Aurier to Italy, with the Spurs right-back being the club’s main defensive target.

The report reveals that Aurier was first offered to the Rossoneri by his agent, with the 27-year-old said to be keen on swapping North London for Milan.

However, it is suggested that the two clubs are still a long way from reaching an agreement, with the Italian side not willing to meet Tottenham’s €23million (£20.7million) valuation of the former PSG man.

The report claims that Stefano Pioli’s side are only willing to pay around €16million (£14.3million) for Aurier and could instead shift their focus to Barcelona full-back Emerson if they cannot land the Spurs man.

Spurs Web Opinion

Since Aurier has only two years left to run on his contract, he will either be handed a new deal this summer or be sold. Going by recent reports, the latter seems like the more likely possibility. I expect Spurs to eventually lower their valuation and a agree on a deal with Milan since the former PSG man seemingly prefers a move to the Serie A giants.
