Report reveals how Harry Kane felt about Nuno before his sacking

The Daily Mirror have revealed that Harry Kane did not have the best of relationships with Nuno Espirito Santo before the Portuguese coach’s departure.

Tottenham confirmed on Monday that they had parted ways with Nuno Espirito Santo and his coaching staff just four months on from their appointment.

Antonio Conte has replaced the Portuguese coach at the helm at Spurs, with the Italian signing a contract until 2023 with an option of an extension.

Since Nuno’s sacking was confirmed, a number of reports have shed light on the issues that several Spurs players had with the 47-year-old’s tactical approach as well as his man-management.

The Evening Standard suggested that some of the more introverted players in the Tottenham squad, like Tanguy Ndombele and Hugo Lloris, respected the former Wolves boss’ approach while the majority were unimpressed with his communication style.

The Mirror has shed light on how Kane felt about the recently departed Spurs boss. It is claimed that the England captain did not particularly get along with Nuno, with the pair’s relationship described as ‘lukewarm’.

Kane’s apathy towards Nuno might have contributed to the striker’s poor form so far this season. One would think that Conte will be able to get the 28-year-old playing at his best given the respect that the Italian will command from him and every other player in the Tottenham dressing room.
