Report reveals how many signings Conte wants to make this summer and what positions

The Times have claimed that Antonio Conte wants to make five additions to the Tottenham squad during this summer’s transfer window.

It has emerged over recent months that Conte wants to sign upgrades in both wing-back areas, with the Italian not thought to be convinced by Emerson Royal and Sergio Reguilon (The Sun and Football Insider).

Spurs have also been linked with some big-name forwards including the likes of Lautaro Martinez (Inter Live).

The Athletic reported earlier this month that signing a left-sided centre-back to compete with Ben Davies is the North Londoners’ number one priority, with the likes of RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol, Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni, Lille’s Sven Botman said to be on the club’s radar.

The Times have now revealed that Spurs want to make at least five new singings this summer. It is alleged that the Lilywhites want to sign a backup goalkeeper, two defenders, at least one midfielder and another striker.

The requirements will likely change depending on potential outgoings this summer. While Conte might want to keep the likes of Rodon, Bergwijn, Winks and Lucas around as squad options, we will likely have to replace them if those players push for a move in search of regular game time.
