Report reveals how many signings Spurs are ‘confident’ of making in January

Tottenham are confident of signing at least one player before the transfer window closes at the end of the month, according to Football.London.

Spurs have yet to make a move in the January market despite Antonio Conte reiterating the importance of his side needing to be active (Marca).

The Italian recently met with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and managing director Fabio Paratici to discuss the state of his squad and plans for the month ahead (The Athletic).

The Evening Standard revealed the discussion led to the priority of signing new right wing-back, with Wolves’ Adama Traore heavily tipped to make the move to N17.

As such, Football.London claim there is a growing confidence that Spurs will make at least one acquisition to Conte’s squad this month.

The report also states there is a chance that more than one player could come into the club before the deadline strikes on Monday, January 31.

Spurs Web Opinion

January is a tough month to secure deals and Spurs are likely being careful about signing the right profiles for Conte. Maybe they should have looked to complete a deal for Traore earlier as it is a bit frustrating that it hasn’t materialised, but they need to make sure they grab at least one incoming.
