Report reveals how much Leicester want for Spurs-linked Tielemans – Real Madrid also interested

Spanish publication AS have revealed that Real Madrid are interested in Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans, who is rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar.

Tielemans has just one year left on his contract with the Foxes (Transfermarkt) and the midfielder has admitted he is ready to make a step up to a ‘top European club’ (talkSPORT).

GiveMeSport claimed last month that Spurs plan to make a move for Tielemans in the summer should they qualify for the Champions League.

If AS’s latest update is to be believed, Real Madrid have identified the Belgian international as the man to bolster their midfield ranks.

The report claims that Los Blancos are set to challenge the big hitters in the Premier League for the 24-year-old’s signature.

It is asserted that Tielemans ‘will leave’ the King Power Stadium this summer and would prefer a switch to the Santiago Bernabeu.

The midfielder is alleged to be valued at around €50m (£41.8m) by Brendan Rodgers’ men.

Tielemans is overpriced at £40-plus, given that he has only 12 months left to run on his contract with Leicester. Other options would be preferable over the Foxes star for that price.

If we are going to spend that kind of money on a central midfielder, I would much prefer Yves Bissouma, who also has just 12 months left on his contract with Brighton.
