Report reveals how much Norwich City are paying to take Oliver Skipp on loan

Football Insider have now reported that Norwich City are set to pay Tottenham Hotspur a seven-figure sum to take young Oliver Skipp on loan for the 2020/21 season.

This is Skipp’s first-ever loan spell during his time at Spurs, with the 19-year-old coming through the academy ranks before breaking into the first-team set-up.

Skipp made 12 appearances under Mauricio Pochettino during his breakthrough season in 2018/19 before making 11 more during the last campaign (Wikipedia).

Jose Mourinho revealed earlier this year that Skipp had asked to be loaned out for the 20/21 season in order to gain more experience and first-team minutes (Standard).

Mourinho is also said to have given the green light for such an opportunity for the young midfielder, while he would rather Skipp joined a Championship side than a Premier League outfit.

Norwich City will surely be targeting a promotion charge next season after dropping out of the Premier League last time around and are set to pay £1m to bring Skipp in. Tottenham confirmed the loan deal earlier today.
