Tottenham Hotspur still remain interested in a potential double-deal for Fiorentina duo Dusan Vlahovic and Nikola Milenkovic, according to the latest reports emerging from Italy.
Various sources have indicated over recent days that Atletico Madrid had reached an agreement with Fiorentina for the transfer of Vlahovic
However, multiple Italian outlets are continuing to suggest that Spurs very much remain in the race for the striker, as well as his Serbian international teammate.
Corriere Fiorentino have backed up the claim regarding Atletico’s offer for Vlahovic but they mention Spurs could also ‘relaunch’ their efforts to sign the centre-forward if they lose Harry Kane.
The publication also reveal that West Ham’s effort to sign Milenkovic has been ‘abruptly interrupted’ by Spurs, who are interested in the defender.
Alfredo Pedulla has also revealed that both Viola stars continue to be on Tottenham’s radar.
The journalist told Gazzetta dello Sport that Spurs are ready to outbid the Hammers for Milenkovic, with Fabio Paratici alleged to be a big fan of the versatile defender.
Pedulla also added that the Lilywhites could begin discussions with Fiorentina regarding Vlahovic at the same time.
Finally, Firenze Viola suggest Tottenham have offered €70m (£59.7m) in a double-deal for Vlahovic and Milenkovic but the Serie A club want around €85m (£72.5m) for the pair.
Spurs Web Opinion
For the prices being reported for Vlahovic, I cannot see us signing him unless Kane does join City. If Tottenham do indeed step up their interest in the 21-year-old over the coming days, that might be proof that the England captain is on his way out.
To spend £60m+ on a striker if Kane stays would be irresponsible considering that we are much more in need of investment in the other areas across the pitch.
