The Sun have revealed that Tottenham could earn a maximum of £2 million from Dele Alli’s potential sale to Besiktas from Everton.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed this week that Dele had joined the Turkish Super Lig club on loan with a £6m purchase option before January 1 and an £8m purchase option between January 1 and June. This is not an obligation-to-buy clause though.
As such, there is still a chance that Tottenham could receive nothing from their Dele Alli transfer to Everton. There is also still a chance that Dele returns to Everton and Spurs get paid £10m once he reaches 25 appearances.
However, the most likely outcome seems to be Besiktas purchasing the English midfielder for £6m or £8m, with Spurs being entitled to 25% of that fee.
This means, after signing Dele for £5m in 2015 (BBC), Spurs may only get £1.5m or £2m for his eventual sale in 2023.
Spurs Web Opinion:
Tottenham waved goodbye to getting a good fee for Dele Alli a couple of years ago when his decline was clear for all to see. At his peak, he was a £100m player, but nowadays I think Spurs fans just want to see him back at his best.
