Report reveals how much Spurs have bid for Takehiro Tomiyasu

Sky Italia have reported that Tottenham put in a €15m plus €3m in bonuses offer for Bologna defender Takehiro Tomiyasu this week.

Reports emerged earlier in the week that Spurs were interested in the Japanese international and some claimed that the North London club had even made a bid, but no figure was quoted.

It was said that Tottenham and Atalanta had both made official offers to Bologna this summer as they looked to sign Tomiyasu.

However, one report also claimed that the player himself would prefer a move to Atalanta over North London.

Sky Italia have reported that Spurs have made a total offer worth in the region of around £15.5m for the centre-back/right-back.

Apparently this bid has taken Spurs ahead of Atalanta in the queue for the defender, however, Tottenham and Bologna are still said to be a few million apart.

Finally, Sky Italia said that Spurs plan to ‘close’ the signing over the next few days.

Spurs Web Opinion:

These are the kinds of signings that I expect Spurs to make this summer, bargains for between £10m and £20m. However, Tottenham need more than just Tomiyasu in terms of defensive reinforcements if they have any hope of improving next season.
