Report reveals how much Spurs would have to pay for Festy Ebosele

Mondo Udinese have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur would have to pay €15m (£12.8m) to land Udinese defender Festy Ebosele in the summer.

Ebosele has emerged as one of the best young right-backs in the Serie A this season and it turns out that the youngster is attracting quite a bit of attention from England, which should not come as much of a surprise since he is homegrown, having spent his formative years in Derby County’s academy.

It was reported by HITC last week that Spurs were one of several English clubs who were closely watching the Republic of Ireland international ahead of a summer move.

Price revealed for Spurs target, Festy Ebosele

Mundo Udinese have now also reported on Tottenham’s interest in Ebosele, pointing out that the Lilywhites were successful the last time they raided the Serie A side for a full-back, securing Udogie back in 2022.

The report suggests that if Spurs do secure the 21-year-old, he would provide competition to Pedro Porro for the right-back role next season.

The publication adds that Udinese would demand €15m (£12.8m) for Ebosele, with the club waiting to see if Tottenham will make a concrete move for the player.

Spurs Web Opinion

The aforementioned fee will not be an issue for Tottenham and the fact that he is young and homegrown makes him an ideal understudy to Pedro Porro. I would not be surprised if Spurs consider a similar deal to the Udogie one whereby Ebosele is loaned back to Udinese.
