Report reveals how Spurs players have responded to ketchup and fizzy drink ban

According to a report from LondonWorld, the response to Antonio Conte’s decision to ban ketchup and fizzy drinks at Tottenham has been ‘universally positive’ from members of the first-team squad.

The former Chelsea boss was appointed as the new Spurs manager over a fortnight ago and has already been making wholesale changes around the club, both on and off the pitch.

Conte is renowned for his meticulous ideas and methods wherever he has managed, and that does not appear to have changed in his short time at Spurs.

Reports emerged that Conte had been unimpressed with the physical condition of some of the squad upon his arrival, and has since started to use his rigorous training techniques and changes to the players’’ diets to bring their level up.

One of those dietary alterations was the alleged ban on condiments including ketchup as well as fizzy drinks – a similar rule he implemented during his time at Chelsea.

However, LondonWorld report that there has been a positive response from the squad regarding Conte’s decision and the players have been willing to change their diets and routines as a result.

The report also adds that Conte’s intense training sessions are being taken in well by the group, with the Italian implementing ‘relentless’ drills to get each and every player on the same wavelength in and out of possession.

Conte’s methods are very specific and we have seen that at every club he has managed, and they have got to be a reason why he has been so successful in the past. It is good that he is implementing them successfully at Spurs currently and hopefully this can pay off in the long run.
