Report reveals Hugo Lloris had occasional run-ins with Mourinho at Spurs

Fichajes have reported that Tottenham Hotspur captain, Hugo Lloris, had occasional run-ins with Jose Mourinho in North London during the Special One’s time in charge of the club.

Mourinho took charge of Spurs in November 2019, just hours after Mauricio Pochettino was sacked by Daniel Levy and co. This represented the Portuguese coach’s first managerial job since he left Manchester United.

However, the former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss didn’t even last until the end of the 2020/21 season, as he was given his marching orders days before the Carabao Cup Final against Man City. Former Spurs player, Ryan Mason was handed the reigns temporarily.

Fichajes have now claimed that the arrival of Mourinho in North London brought many problems for Lloris and the club captain had disagreements with his head coach.

Despite this, with Nuno Espirito Santo now in charge, Lloris has apparently regained his smile, which is why a new contract is likely.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I can’t imagine that Lloris had any heated arguments with Jose Mourinho, but I’m sure he is always willing to give his honest opinion in meetings. I do agree that Hugo is playing some of his best football now though and would love to see a new contract.
