Report reveals if Eriksen is likely to return to Spurs before window slams shut

According to the print edition of TuttoSport (as relayed by OneFootball), Christian Eriksen is unlikely to complete a return to Tottenham before the January transfer window slams shut in a few days time.

RMC Sport revealed on Monday that Tottenham were open to letting Dele Alli to join Paris Saint-Germain on loan until the end of the season but only after they sign a replacement.

It was suggested that Eriksen is one of the options the Lilywhites were looking at as a potential replacement for the England international.

However, Tuttosport claim that everything points towards the Dane now staying at the San Siro beyond the end of the month.

It is said that even though Inter remain keen on moving the midfielder on, it is unlikely that they will be able to do so before the window closes.

The report suggests that a door is still open for Eriksen to complete a move to PSG but the chances of the deal going through are minimal.

Spurs Web Opinion

I have always been sceptical about reports of Tottenham’s interest in re-signing Eriksen. If regular football is what the Dane is after, he is unlikely to get that at Spurs given the way Jose now sets us up. I do not expect the club to bring in a replacement for Alli should he complete his proposed loan move to PSG.
