Report reveals if Man City Grealish interest impacts desire to sign Kane

Sky Sports have reported that signing a new striker remains Man City’s top priority this summer, with Harry Kane and Erling Haaland the top targets, despite recent links to Jack Grealish.

The report claims that Pep Guardiola is a keen admirer of the Aston Villa captain, however, Grealish is in ongoing talks over a possible new contract at his boyhood club.

Villa are said to want to build a team around the England attacker, having already reinforced this transfer window with Emi Buendia and Ashley Young.

It is said that Man City would need to sell players if they are going to be able to afford Grealish and Kane or Haaland this summer.

ESPN reported today that Man City are close to reaching a £100m agreement for the Villa captain, which would be a British transfer record.

Sky Sports also reported earlier this month that City had bid £100m for Tottenham’s Harry Kane.

Spurs Web Opinion:

It appears that Man City are looking to blow people out of the water financially again this summer. If for one would love to see Kane stay and Grealish sign a new deal at Villa.
