Report reveals if Zidane exit is likely to have impact on Bale’s future

Eurosport have claimed that Zinedine Zidane’s departure from Real Madrid is unlikely to convince Gareth Bale to see out the final year of his contract with the club.

There has been plenty of speculation over whether Bale is likely to return to Tottenham next season.

The forward chose to remain coy about his future on Monday, insisting that he is fully focused on having a successful European Championship campaign with Wales.

Previous reports from Spain indicated that the 31-year-old plans to see out the final year of his contract with Los Blancos if Zidane leaves the club, which he has since done having been replaced by Carlo Ancelotti.

However, Eurosport have now dismissed that suggestion, insisting that a change of manager is not likely to convince Bale to stick around at the Santiago Bernabeau.

The report adds that Spurs do have an agreement in place to re-sign the Welshman on the same terms as last year’s loan deal.

It is suggested that chairman Daniel Levy is unlikely to miss out on the opportunity to bring Bale back to North London.
