Report reveals Jose Mourinho has left established first-team player back in London

The Athletic has revealed that Dele Alli has not travelled with the Tottenham Hotspur squad to face Burnley.

Tottenham will be looking to get back on track in the Premier League this evening after dropping two points at home against West Ham last Sunday.

The rest of the results have gone in favour of the Lilywhites this weekend and they will be hoping they can capitalise at Turf Moor.

Jose Mourinho’s men did manage to put the game against Hammers behind them and build momentum with the 3-0 win over LASK in the Europa League on Thursday.

Alli came on as a substitute in the second half against the Austrian side but the midfielder has not started a game since the opening day Premier League defeat against Everton.

The England international got his 50th Premier League goal against the Clarets at Turf Moor last season when Spurs ended up drawing the match 1-1 which will be remembered for Jose Mourinho questioning the work rate of Tanguy Ndombele (Independent).

However, it looks like he will not be playing any part in the game this evening, with the report revealing that Mourinho has decided to leave the 24-year-old back in London.
