Report reveals Jose Mourinho regularly sends his Spurs players texts for this purpose

Jose Mourinho is known as one of the toughest head coaches in the business, which is why he has been so successful across his long career.

The no-nonsense Portuguese boss rarely puts up with too much in the way of player dramatics or consistent poor performances, as shown by his recent comments to the press.

Mourinho called out Tottenham’s record signing, Tanguy Ndombele, for his performance against Burnley earlier this month.

The Frenchman was hauled off at half-time despite being one of the freshest players on the pitch and Mourinho later claimed that he could not continue to give him chances unless he showed more (BBC).

However, despite this tough and public management style, a report from The Athletic has now revealed how positive and supportive the Special One is being away from the pitch.

Reporter, Charlie Eccleshare, claims that Mourinho regularly sends his Spurs players texts to remind them how good they are and how good they can become.

Is this a new Jose Mourinho?
