German publication Bild are now reporting that Bayern Munich have sealed the signing of Julian Nagelsmann.
Nagelsmann was rumoured to be Tottenham’s number one managerial target but Bayern Munich were also said to be after the RB Leipzig boss (Telegraph).
It was claimed last week that Spurs were confident of beating Bayern to Nagelsmann’s signature as the 33-year-old was keen on managing in the Premier League.
Tottenham’s chances of being able to snap up Nagelsmann were boosted when Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge revealed that the reigning Bundesliga champions were set to hold talks with Hansi Flick and hinted that 56-year-old could stay put at the Allianz Arena.
However, if Bild are to be believed, Bayern have now reached an agreement with Nagelsmann to take over from Flick at the end of the season.
Tottenham could thus be forced to turn their attention to other candidates on their shortlist to replace Jose Mourinho.
