Report reveals Mourinho’s thoughts on his training session with Tanguy Ndombele

Jose Mourinho is reportedly adamant that he and the Tottenham players who were pictured training outdoors on Tuesday, maintained the appropriate social distancing, according to the Guardian.

Footage and images emerged on social media of Mourinho overseeing a makeshift session with midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, while Davinson Sanchez and Ryan Sessegnon could be seen jogging side-by-side in a video clip.

The UK government has made it clear that that outdoor exercise can be undertaken only with other people from the same household, as the nation attempts to flatten the curve and beat the spread of COVID-19.

Reacting to the criticism that the Spurs boss and players have received for breaking the government’s guidelines, a Spurs spokesman reportedly told the Guardian: “All of our players have been reminded to respect social distancing when exercising outdoors. We shall continue to reinforce this message.”

However, it is suggested that Mourinho is insistent that he and his players did not break any rules during the training session.

Spurs Web Opinion:

This is the last thing the club needs PR-wise, especially when they are coming under such severe criticism for furloughing their staff. I suspect this is the last we will see of Jose and the players training together outdoors.
