Report reveals Ndombele was going to base his Spurs future on the Premier League restart

The Athletic have claimed that Tanguy Ndombele planned to seek a move away from Tottenham Hotspur this summer if he failed to play regularly in the final few weeks of the season, following the resumption of the campaign due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Frenchman’s plans were hampered after he missed the last three games due to injury (transfermarkt), however the report suggests that there was little indication that he would have been selected if he had been fit.

Ndombele was selected for just 64 minutes of action since the restart and is said to have attracted the attention of Inter Milan.

The Daily Mail reported last month that Tottenham were ready to keep faith in the 23-year-old with chairman Daniel Levy not prepared to take a financial hit on the midfielder who cost a club record £55.45million.

There are contrasting reports from The Guardian who claim that Spurs have already begun talks with Inter and were prepared to accept £45million, although Inter are not believed to be willing to go that high.
