Report reveals one condition under which Christian Eriksen could return to Spurs

According to a report from Gazzetta Dello Sport, Tottenham could re-sign Christian Eriksen this month if Dele Alli completes a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Dele has fallen down the pecking order this season and there has been plenty of speculation linking the midfielder with a reunion with Mauricio Pochettino, who has taken over the reins at PSG (Telegraph).

The 24-year-old started Tottenham’s 5-0 win over Marine yesterday and earned Jose Mourinho’s praise for his performance.

Meanwhile, Eriksen has had a year to forget since swapping Tottenham for Inter Milan and reports indicate that the Serie A giants are keen on moving him on this month.

Gazzetta Dello Sport now claim that a sensational return to Spurs could be on for the Dane but only if Alli completes his proposed move to Paris.

The report suggests that Mourinho rates Eriksen highly and feels the 28-year-old would offer something that his side are lacking at the moment.

Spurs Web Opinion

I do not see Eriksen as a particularly good fit for our current system as the Dane is not very effective off the ball. Alli too seems to have got some valuable minutes under his belt over the past few weeks and I can see the club hanging on to him until the summer, especially given the fact that we are involved in four competitions.
