Report reveals Pochettino development amidst Man Utd and Spurs links

The Daily Mail have claimed that Real Madrid are poised to enter the race to sign Mauricio Pochettino amidst reports linking the Argentine with the Manchester United job, as well as a return to Tottenham.

Tottenham reportedly wanted to bring Pochettino back to North London last summer (Evening Standard) but they were unable to do so and eventually ended up appointing Nuno Espirito Santo, who was replaced by Antonio Conte after just a few months in charge.

Over the last week, multiple sources (The Telegraph and The Times) have claimed that Daniel Levy will look to bring the 49-year-old back to the club if Conte leaves in the summer.

Meanwhile, ESPN reported earlier this month that Pochettino is also on Man Utd’s shortlist to take over from interim boss Ralf Rangnick at the end of the season.

The Mail have now claimed that Real Madrid are also eyeing a move for the Paris Saint-Germain boss amidst doubts over Carlo Ancelotti’s future.

It is revealed that the Spanish giants are ‘huge admirers’ of Pochettino and, like Spurs, tried to appoint him last summer.

It is asserted that Florentino Perez will revive interest in the 49-year-old if Ancelotti is moved on.

Spurs Web Opinion

I hope that Pochettino ends up at Real Madrid rather than at Man Utd as I believe he will make United a force again if he gets the job. However, I have a feeling that the Argentine would want to return to the Premier League if he leaves PSG in the summer. So, he might snub Madrid’s approach in favour of a move to Old Trafford.
